About Me

I realise that the array of qualifications held by hypnotherapists can be very confusing. This is mainly because hypnotherapy is taught in private colleges rather than Universities.

I started my therapy training at Lewisham College by studying for a Certificate in Person-Centered Counselling. I went on to attend Goldsmiths College (part of the University of London), where I studied Psychology graduating in 2004. One year later I also graduated from Goldsmiths College with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

In 2017, I then undertook Hypnotherapy training at the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy obtaining an Externally accredited Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Evidence-based hypnotherapy, the only British Psychological Society (BPS) approved Hypnotherapy training in the UK. In 2018, I received a Diploma in Stress Management and Resilience Building, a training approved by the International Stress Management Association (ISMA).

Since completing my training I have added to my qualifications and understanding of hypnotherapy and stress management techniques and I hold memberships with several professional organisations. I am an associate member of the International Stress Management Association in the UK (ISMA UK), an Accredited Member with the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC), and a Registered Member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR). I am also a Licensed and insured Hypnotherapist.

I see clients in my practice room in Lewisham and I offer support for a wide range of issues that can be helped by individual therapy sessions, either using hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or both.

My clients are varied and I don't specialise in just one type of therapy as I have training in an integrative approach. This means that I work with many issues that people are hoping to let go of.

A Cognitive behavioural Hypnotherapist, Teacher, unshakeable optimist dedicated to helping you become the person you most want to be.

Born in Guadeloupe, French West-Indies and raised in Paris and New York, I have always had a passion and strong desire to help others and so I am proud to have created this healing and educational service with a desire to help heal as many people as possible, people like, you dream big and back it up with meaningful action to create results.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been insatiably curious about human potential. I wanted to know, what exactly is it that makes people genuinely happy, successful and creatively fulfilled? Why do some people struggle while others find a way to thrive, often despite the most challenging circumstances?

It was at the age 10, I declared my desire to help people, kids in particular, so they could have tons of fun and not suffer in the way I did as a child. However, through my teenage years I faced many health challenges, the greatest being depression. I was shuffled out of doctors’ offices with prescriptions meant to fill the empty hole I felt deep within my soul. Nobody could tell me why I felt so sad all the time, cried all the time, ached all the time, or offer any good, long-term solutions. I felt helpless and became disenchanted with the conventional medical system.

Beside my desire to help people, I was also passionate about a multitude of seemingly unconnected things: singing, hip-hop, psychology, entrepreneurship, creativity, spirituality, fitness and philanthropy, just to name a few.

After receiving my Degree in Psychology I pursued a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and obtained a job as a teacher of French and Spanish in an oversubscribed secondary school. During my years as a teacher, I too suffered from stress. For almost 11 years I suffered in silence dealing with anxiety and insomnia. Oh yeah, and I was also in the grip of a deep depression. Things got so bad that I made the difficult decision to leave the profession all together.

In 2014 I gave up the security of a full-time teaching job as a teacher of French and Spanish and began supply teaching and doing a multitude of odd jobs to keep a roof over my head while slowly building a hypnotherapy business from the ground up.
